Transported a 4 stroke

Today I bought a 1999 4 stroke evinrude and 9.9 outboard and decided to drain the oil out of crankcase before transporting it. Is there anything I need to do as a precaution before I start it> Other than put filter and fresh oil back in?

fuel.... you may want fuel as well.

in all seriousness, with a new to you 22 year old motor. you may want to also change the impeller, pressure test the leg and replace the gear oil.
