If you employ people you must get a social security card and number and you must submit their withholding. Failure to do so should result in a large fine and ENFORCE THE LAW.

Problem is that many of these illegals do get fake SS cards.

Earnings is credited to someone elses account, but they dont care.

The companies know, but dont really care, there is no law requiring them to confirm the SS number is real.

Ken

Re: Trickle down Amnesty

Some time ago I mentioned on this board of a "friend" who came to this country from Ghana and refused to go home. I wish I knew his present address, because I would report him. I do know that he is living in the DC area and working, using his landlord's SS number for work. His landlord is not only collecting rent, but has this man claiming 0 on his w-4 so he is getting money back in taxes and is also building his SS account. As long at goes unreported BOTH are committing fraud. One should go to jail and the other deported. You pick.

Good idea, Txs, I agree. Unfortunately not as easy to enforce as it sounds. But it should be done now!

Ken there are laws on the books that I adhere to strictly at my company. They require a photo identification and social security card copied in all personel files. All social security is held and matched paid to IRS.

Folks paying the illegals are paying less to them plus not meeting the tax requirements. Illegal labor means no job for American citizen and therefore no taxes paid in for schools, police etc. Yes, believe it or not they do that.

RESULT:
1. Taxes owed to support the government go unpaid
2. Less jobs for citizens.
3. More citizens drawing unemployment.
4. Owners of companies get richer by stealing taxes.
5. Illegals bring families here to live in near poverty but better than in Mexico.
6. Illegals birth American citizens who get to speak only native language and then we start paying with no where to turn.

The roses are blooming you should stop to smell them sometime.
Results are simple. Lower cost to owner of company means more money for him.

Didnt disagree with ya tx, just pointing out the obvious.

Illegals will do illegal things to remain illegal.

The only solution is to make it as easy for them to be legal as illegal.

I posted my solution in a thread a while back, too lazy to find it.

My biggest concern about illegals is national security and criminals, with the "drain on the system" a close second.

Lets be able to track and confirm these people first, then work on the "drain on the system" second.

Ken

Roger that, Ken....
The first step is to effectively seal the borders....
I can not understand why this can't be accomplished....
"W" doesn't do anything but pay lip service on the subject....
Did he make any attempt to do anything about it when he was gov? I am truly curious about that.....JK

Too touchy a subject for any politician to grab hold of.Too much support for illegals from homegrown Mexican citizens and no politicians want to lose their support. It's that simple. The solution isn't so simple, since it will have to be a political one.

Border control is one topic that both Dems and Reps alike are reduced to bumbling idiots on.

The soloution is simple.....
But, I have to agree, no politician who wants to stay in office can say it....
What a shame!....
Maybe we can find one who is not running again, & has nothing to lose....
Like Tom De Lay! ;) .....JK

I still believe the seal is by no jobs or welfare money. The border is too long and porous to cover with manpower unless the military is activated which we know is presently busy.

Remember the Rio Grande is not a big wide river at many points, rather a dry creek bed.

It would be like trying to find WMD in Iraq. Just kidding not stealing thread just could not resist the humor. I know shame on me. Hehehehe the trollmaster.

I would seriously be interested in knowing just who and how the issue will or will not be addressed.Just the mention of it has already summoned nationwide marches. What's next, rioting, looting, pilaging?

Yes, GWB really pisses me off about the border security.

An 80 yr old lady gets stripped searched at the airport, but Osama Bin Laden could walk right in to Texas.

See... I dont think the president is infailable.

Ken

I voted for GWB and for republicans. I have let them know that my next vote will be for ANY democrat, if they do not do the right thing on boarder security and immigration. If they really fear illegal immigrants vote (what vote they're not citizens)just wait and see what will happen from actual citizens (we want the flood of illegals to stop....period).
