Trim and Bilge pump problems

I have two batteries hooked to a perco switch. When I went to hook up my batteries I hooked them up wrong. Of course I had nothing. Replaced the square fuse at starter so now I have power and everything is working except the trim and the bilges pump blows fuses. I replaced the square fuse on the trim pump but still didn't make a difference. What should I check to get the trim working and the bilge to stop blowing fuses. I can't even take it to anyone to check it out because the trim is down:confused:

Re: Trim and Bilge pump problems

For your trim, there should be a smaller fuse (20A I think) powering the trim buttons. It should be around the trim pump as well.
What engine and drive do you have, and year would be handy.

Post your bilge pump problem over in the electrical forum, this forum is for engine and drive systems.

When ya unhook em next time, tape/pull ties each set together, better yet,add bussbars to have them hooked up and then you only have pos/neg battery cables to hook up. Abyc standards require no more than 4 wires to any stud. Also a buss bar makes any installation look nice and neat.
