Trim and trailer foot stopped working

1998 stingray 180 merc trailer and trim stopped working after 15 min of running engine. worked fine and the all stopped. I can cross the hot to both solenoids and able to make it work but not at the shifter. so I have 12.7 volts to trim motor where should I check for problem and 20 amp fuse is good and 110amp is fine

Wiring may be rubbed in two inside the shift/throttle handle. Had it happen to me. Not to hard to fix.

Your first stop is the trim relay. It should be fairly easy to find by following the wires back from the trim pump. Relays are common culprits in trim problems.

The Switch itself may be your problem. It happened to me.

Took it out, pulled it apart and cleaned the contacts. Worked fine since.
