Trim Gauge question

Bought a boat, everything works great except the gas gauge sticks, and nothing from the trim gauge. Where are the senders on a Merc 150 black max. And how do I check for continuity at the gauge (without a meter)

You need a meter. The sender is located near the trim ram.
