Trim Gauge

Hello fellow boaters....

This past weekend my trim gauge began acting up on me. When the trim is fully down the gauge reads down but as soon as I press up slightly on the trim button the gauge indicator moves to full up but the trim hasn't even reached a quarter up yet. There is nothing wrong with my trim as it does move up and down without any problems. However, the gauge is going haywire on me.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Is there anything that I can do to repair this or do I have to bring in it for service? The boat is still under warranty so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks!

Re: Trim Gauge

What engine do you have? O/B? I/O? And if I/O, what drive?

Re: Trim Gauge

Since it's unde warranty take it back to the dealer.

When it goes haywire again and out of warranty do this:

Learn to trim by sound and feel and replace the trim gauge with something worthwhile....even a clock would be an improvement.
