Trim guage inop

Hey guys,

My trim guage has power. It twitches when I turn the key to the on postion. It stays in the up position no matter where I set the trim. Do I need a new guage or is there something else I can look for? Thanks again. -Chris

Full scale usally means a short so unplug the sender at the engine and if the guage goes down it's the sender if not it's in the wiring or guage next step would be to disconnect the sender wire at the guage to ck for a short in the wiring

what am I looking for at the engine? Color or general description. Thanks

Whats the model and serial number of the engine your working on?

Probably a brown/white wire

Yes the brown/white wire is the trim sender wire
