Hi, I’m replacing the trim limit sender,
But the connections are similar on both wires, do they work both ways?
Regards

Ayuh,...... The trim limit sender is a make, or break switch,......
The other is the sender for the gauge, which measures resistance,....

Ok, thanks
So it will work both ways then?
No
The trim sender is installed on the starboard side and has a brown wire going to the gauge. The other wire coming from sender goes to ground

The trim limit switch has a purple/white and Blue/white wires connected to it and it's installed on the port side

I think OP is asking if the wires on the trim limit switch are interchangeable, not if the switches themselves are. If that's the case then no, it doesn't matter which wire from the switch connects to which wire on the transom..
