Trim motor only clicks

Well i think i fried something. Was working on the engine and accidently hit one of the hot posts on a trim solenoid! Duh! forgot to unhook the battery! It cooked the end of my screwdriver. Now the trim pump only clicks on both the up or down side..Guess i'll get the manual out and start reading unless you guys know something to check quick..

Sorry Don,One of those days...OMC 4.3 Cobra.
I got my wiring diagram and figured out where the fuses are.Its a blown 50 ampAGU 50...Wonder if Napa carries marine fuses or i need to take the long drive to a dealer.And would a Merc dealer have them..

Gee, ya melt the end off a screwdriver and make a lot of sparks, then things don't work? Ya mean that worries ya? ? ? ?

Anyway. You might try NAPA, they carry them at ours, but every store is different.
Merc doesn't use those big fuses so that would make a dealer a little iffy.
Might consider going to one of those big maxi automotive type fuses. They also have them in waterproofed covers.

Gary...I was looking for some those once and believe it or not found a package of 5 at a Future Shop/Best Buy store, they used them for automotive high powered stereo amps, they were even a pretty gold color! I think I paid $10 for 5.

Sheet happens! I found some at Napa,Bought all 5 they had,6 bucks..
Thanks guys,see if i get it fixed without another DUH moment..
I knew i should have just laid on the couch with the remote control all day..
