The trim up is not working, the trim down works normally. When pressing the trim up switch, the solenoid clicks, Does this indicate that the motor/pump is bad? It looks too complicated to replace the motor/pump for me, is this worth getting fixed by someone else considering the engine runs fine?

Thank you.

It could be as simple as the "up" solenoid being bad..how many solenoids does your pump have? Solenoids generally have 4 posts for wire connections (2 large posts, one is for battery power the other goes to the pump motor wire) the 2 small posts wires up like this...1 small post gets a ground wire the other small posts gets the wire from your PT&T controller...verify battery voltage at the big terminal, push the "up" control button and check for voltage at the small terminal where the control wire connects...if you have voltage there then when you push the "up" control button check for voltage on the big terminal where the pump wire (blue wire) connects...if you have voltage at the large post then the solenoid is good...if any of the above steps fails to read voltage then the solenoid is bad...
