trim problem Please Help!!!!

I got my first boat and took it out for the third time today. The propeller accidentally hitted the rock when I launched the boat. The trim stops working after and the outdrive does not trim up or down anymore. I also notice some smokes came out from the engine compartment between the engine and the hydraulic motor. I also dont hear the trim motor spin anymore. How bad did I damage the trim? Did the trim motor/solonoid burned? How do I go about testing and fixing it? Please any input is much appreciated.

P/S: Just wanna say thanx to Don S. His posts helps alot
Also I have 1985 Searay Mercruiser 350. I believe it is an Alpha

Trung, I do not think the rock damaged the trim. Check the trim pump wiring. There is a heavy duty fuze where the red battery cable attaches to the trim pump assembly. You may have blown it.

thnx Chris for the response... I checked the heavy duty fuse and its ok... I also tried to bypass the fuse by connect the cable directly to the green or the blue wire... All I hear is a clicking sound....What is the problem? I am so confuse... All I wanna do is to fish... Please help !!!!!
