Trim sender issue

I've noticed the trim sender on my project but is sticking. its not completely frozen, but there's enough sticktion that the spring won't move it. Any body ever free one of these up? Or will I need to buy another unit?

Should be a sealed unit. You may just want to replace it. About $ 100.
