What is the best setting for maximum control while docking? Tabs in the bow down configuration? Does it make any real difference at idle speed? I assume they have no effect in reverse.

Re: trim settings while docking

Each hull handles differently but I have found that a slow speeds, raising the bow up as far as possible makes handling easier and stops bow wander. I go on the theory that with less boat in the water, there is less for the current to push on and therefore easier to control. I am running a 2359 Trophy.

Torcano....I'm hoping your not moving faster than 1-4 knots when your docking...in which case tabs will have no effect up or down, when in reverse up is good, less stuff in the water will = greater control. But all in all, it really doesn't matter
