trim tabs-- to paint or not

i bought a boat with trim tabs.It had been painted over with bottom paint many times.i have scraped off the paint to reveal the stainless underneath.Should i leave it alone or repaint over?

If the boat is in salt water, install anodes and then paint the tabs but not the anode.
