Hi Chaps

I have recently bought a trim tilt twin ram system for my 1979 Blueband 80. System is complete however it does not come with a guage and sender.

Unsure as to where it would locate and which type / part number it would be. If anyone has any useful tips / info / stockists for me then I would be very greatful.

Cheers from ol' Blighty

The Moose

Is it as simple as that then ??

Any chance of anything fitting or should i just say forget it and guess

Only ever had a bar to adjust so not sure how little movements will affect the motor when on the plane

Re: Trim Tilt Guage Fitting

It is really not necessary to have a guage. Trim the motor all the way down and get the boat on plane. Steering should be stiff and pull right. Trim motor up it until the steering is light and does not pull (assumes trim tab is adjusted correctly) for normal cruising. Trim up until speed starts to decrease, or boat starts to porpose (bounce) for optimum speed at WOT. Thats both limits of the system. In general use less trim for rough water, more trim for smooth water. My speedboat will max at 45MPH with trim fully down. Speed increases to 60+ MPH with trim at max.
