Trim/Tilt relay problem

85 hp Force. My t/t wouldn't go down. I changed out the relays(napa), also changed out 1 of the wire harnesses they said would work. Now I can't hook up my battery terminals. It sparks bad every time I try. What should I do?

put it back to the way it was and try a different brand of relay
