Trim Unit

I'm considering fitting power tilt/ trim to my Mercury 70HP, 3 cyl, Engine No 9341608 (Belgium), 1982ish. Would the pump unit fit inside or outside the boat.<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Mark

Most boats I have seen have the pump and the motor on the outside of the transom.
