Just bought a new boat and it came with 2 marine batteries for the trolling motor. The batteries have not been used in a few years (according to the previous owner) and from the markings on the batteries they were purchased in Aug 2000. I trickle charged them overnight at the 12 volt/2 amp setting on my good ol' Schumacher manual charger overnight - but they're still hovering around the zero mark on the reading. Are they salvageable? Now I may show my lack of battery knowledge with this question - but do I add distilled water to the cells or is there any way to bring these guys back from the dead? I think Fleet Farm is calling my name.

Thanks in advance!
