Trolling motor setup for my v-hull

I'm thinking of installing a bow-mount motor up front, but with my current setup I almost have to build and raise up a new floor to make it usable. I mostly troll and jig, do you think throwing a bowmount up front with the current setup would be worth it? I've been looking at the minn-kota maxxums but I'm not sure if they have a pedal extension, as I'd probably need one.

Or should I just build up a casting deck up front and work from there. I have a transom mount I could clamp to the side up front as well. Just wondering if anyone has some pictures of their home-made setups for bow mounts on a v-hull. Here's what I have to work with so far:

I use this bow-mount bracket that is available from Bass-Pro for $28. It has a quick release to remove the mount/motor when not needed. It adjusts approximately 12" forward/back. Great product.

Also, when mounting a transom mount motor on the bow, forward/reverse are backwards. I removed the handle/head, removed the shaft pin, reversed everything, and reinstalled. Now forward/reverse work correctly from the bow.

Has anyone ever mounted a trolling motor to the swim platform? My wife is very much against a trolling motor on the front of 'her' new bowrider.

Mount it on a quick release plate and remove it when she is along. If she hates the motor she probably doesn't fish either so no problem.

This one is bolted thru, on my other boat, it has the MinnKota slide plate. You really don't need that much to bolt to as long as it is solid.
