Trolling motor shaft length

I want to replace the Minn Kota Edge with 45" shaft that I have with a new Minn Kota Power drive v2.
The Power Drive has a 54" shaft. I have a Tracker Pro160 and don't know the 54" will work on the boat?

If the 54 inch shaft model can be lower leg height adjusted to match the setting of the 45 inch model, the powerhead will sit much taller compared to the height of the 45 model...
