I have a 1997 75 Force outboard Engine Runs at normal to higher speeds great when the gas gets below or half full it won't idle without pumping the primer ball. I installed a new fuel pump new hoses with clamps even went between the fuel tank and the quick connector where I resealed that to. It seem like a pressure problem I tryed another portable tank with the same results

The primer bulb is not staying hard? Did you try and replace that? If you do get an expensive one and not a walmart 10 dollar one. Fuel pump is new or rebuilt? How much hose do you have from the motor to the portable?

I would check for air leaks in the fuel line connections. Also, you may wish to check that the screws that fasten the fuel pump are good and tight. Why you're at the fuel pump...might as well check the debris screen inside of it.

Is the vent screw open on the fuel tank?

I would go to a Mercury dealer and get a fuel pump rebuild kit.
Its only about $15.
