Truck got bumped, need a new rear bumper...

The lil woman and daughter #1 got rear-ended in my truck last week. They're ok but my bumper's seen better days. Fortunately, it didn't make it into the sheetmetal so I only need a bumper and brackets and about 30 minutes with a torch and a BFH to deal with the frame.

I noticed that FEY makes a replacement that looks like the original and is supposed to be stronger and several other places sell re-pops too, all in the $400-600 range which is fine, they're paying for it. What I don't want is one that the chrome is going to pop off of in a year and rust.

Anybody have any opinions on any specific brands?

Thanks

Being the insurance company is paying what about the OEM bumper from the dealer?
I put a new one on my Chevy a couple years ago.I noticed the backside was rusting pretty bad but the chrome on the outside was fine.
I coated the inside of the new bumper with 3M spray under coating.

Glad no one was hurt! :)

Spray bedliner works great too.

All the aftermarket ones have cheap chrome. I have a 2000 4runner and the rear bumper is notorious for rust...... I know I have to replace it but lately I have been too cheap. It will hold till spring and I will get an oem (and be sure to coat the inside)

They're paying? Go OEM and forget about it.

Cheap is cheap, you end up paying-twice.

OEM chrome is hardly better than aftermarket chrome. Sorry to burst you guys' bubbles.
I would contact Keystone. They have several bumpers for most trucks, and they should have a warranty as good as OEM and maybe lifetime. But it won't cover labor. Good luck.
