trying to figure out what sterndrive i need

I have a 1969 fiberform, 17 ft boat with an inboard mercruiser, gm inline six, 165, the stern drive for it is gone, yeah i am still trying to figure that one out. the only serial numbers i have for it are from the valve cover-3079851 and at the back of the engine-2915863, i have had the boat for only a few days now, and my wife is getting more pissed by the day because i bought a boat and the stern drive and parts came up missing from the inside of the boat. PLEASE HELP

I'm not sure of the question...

If you are saying your stern drive is missing and you need another to replace it, then I suggest buying a new aftermarket sterndrive from Sterndrive Engineering. They are reasonably priced and should bolt up to your transom assembly..... assuming you have a transom assembly.
