Tuning a 1984 Mariner 90 6cyl??

Hi Guys,

Sorry to dive straight in with a post asking for information!!

I recently bought a 1984 Humber Attaque with a Mariner 90hp of the same age.

I've been doing a bit of research and it seems that this engine isn't so dissimilar from the 6cyl 150 and that the 90 can be tuned up to 130hp or so.

I was just wondering if anyone had any further information on this at all??

It runs like a dream and the noise is to die for!!!!

Adam, the 90HP and 150HP inline sixes share a lot of parts, but the port timing, carbs and pistons are different, giving the extra power to the 150HP motor. it is not cost efficient to machine the changes to the block to try to get the extra power.
