I have never been a typist. I use a few fingers on each hand and even my thumbs a few times.

However........

I have noticed that over the past years my skills (speed????) have increased greatly. I would still make a typing teacher wince and take a drink or two if I was watched (it's that thumb thing :D ).

I can only imagine how fast JB has gotten!!

Re: Typing skills

I took Jr High typing then never used it until the age of computers. I won't mention how long a span that was. Suffice it to say, it were a while.

At the beginning, typing was very awkward. I had to look as I typed. But the fundamental hand placement was still with me and I made a consious effort to practice from that stance.

Today, I basically do not have to look except for numbers and other symbols but I would hate to have to do a speed/accuracy test.

Re: Typing skills

i use home row and don"t have to look at the keybord and last time i checked my wpm i could do between 50-60. I probably still type about the same speed although that was about 3-4 years ago.
