OK I'm confused. I know the u joints are permalube type on this drive I have, So I ordered the correct ones 805536a2. First confusion is, box says Quicksilver and says made in USA. Open the box and it they both say made in singapore  But the real confusion is there is a paper inside the box telling me to lube these with NLG1 #2 Grease, and that to pump it in till the shipping grease that holds the bearings in place has all came out. the cross piece is hollow for this and not a drop of grease in it, so ok i can do this..BUTTTTT 2 things. 1. there is no grease zerks included, just a perm plug. there is another instruction paper on how to remove unit and replace the u joints, they do not say a word about greasing them. just at the end to put in the plug and turn till head twist off. So confused. If I am to grease these then why no zerks and then why not leave them in for future. and why not tell me to grease them inthe instructional sheet . Only a little paper tell me to do the grease and nothing on that about the plug. Talk about counter dicting it self. HELP :(

Re: U Joints Grease

1st, the box probably is made in the USA. They (like NAPA) have there own box and buy from a different manufacture and rebox it.
You can get a zerk it the local NAPA (LOL) and use it to put the grease in. but you may have use the plug to operate with as there may not be enough clearance for the zerk.
Its a little more maintance to grease the u-joints, but i think this kind lasts alot longer.
