I know, I know, wrong forum. But this will only make sence to the people *here*.<br /><br />We found a 3 acre property on Lake Hartwell in S.C. about 3 weeks ago. It just got out of divorce court today and was ordered sold - to us. <big grin><br /><br />We close within 30 days... I'll be back on the board "full time" once C.C. Marine is re-established on Hartwell. Figgure 60 days from now.<br /><br />The property has outbuidings that will make perfect shop space. And enough cleared land to winterize and store 75 boats, as soon as I fence it all in.<br /><br />-W

It was a case of "good things happen for those that wait". <br /><br />Because of the legal messes this property was like the crazy old uncle the realtor kept locked in the attic. No one really wanted it because it wasn't a "nice clean" sale.<br /><br />Now I need to pray for some rain in that area. I just have a little cove that meets the dock in the right rear of the lot. The lake goes any lower and I'll need a canoe. <br /><br />I don't think I'm going to be doing *too* much personal boating this summer anyway. Just getting the place up and running after 6 months empty and getting C.C. Marine up to speed will take most of my time and energy. The power, water, phone etc have been down for months and various flora and fauna is making inroads into places it should not be.<br /><br />For my purposes though, the location is good, I get 1/4 mile of road frontage on the way to a boat ramp from the highway. <br /><br />-W
