Upgrade from 90 to 140 HP?

Hello,
I would like to know, if it is possible to adapt an Suzuki/Johnson 90 (DF90/J90) to 140 HP?

According the specs, it looks like, that only the bore is a little bit diffrent - 3,36 instead of 3,30 in. The sroke shoult be the same - 3.46 in.

Probably possible, Harald. Dismantle the engine, bore it out, rebuild it with a DF140 cam and head, valves, pistons, ECM, etc.


Probably be cheaper to buy a DF140 and give your DF90 away.

most likly an ECU and injector difference as well.
