Used boat sources ?

Hi,new here.I have been shopping for a used boat for awhile.I thought they would be everywhere here in NC (as the boating season ends soon).Looked in the forum classified's,local papers and search engine results(boat trader,used boats.com ,etc).Any tips for a used boat source ? I am looking for a bow rider in the 19-22ft range.I have about 5k to spend and I dont mind to do some TLC. I am going to check out a 20ft 1991 reinell w/5.7 on monday,if the boat looks as good as the pics maby the search will be over, possibly my standards are to high.

Any info would be appreciated.

How is the engine?? And also keep in mind the season is not even close to being over, Nov then you'll see more boats for sale, this is the heart of the season

go up to boat classifieds here on iboats. belileve it or not. i scored my boat off them ads........i did have to travel 540 miles to get what i thought i wanted though......but so far i'm a happy camper.......i'm hip with w2 too. the season ain't over till nov. my score was a 19' hardtop......extended boatin season........

i have found NC. is a high price market. i watch ebay everyday. you can find some good boats, with in a weekend trip.

Around N. Texas they publish "Trader" sales papers (books/magazines printed on newspaper type paper) which sell for a couple of $. They have them for everything in separate categories...thousands of items.

Have them for cars, specialty cars, trucks, OTR trucks, construction equip, motor homes and campers, boats, and bikes. Might have a web site....like "Auto Trader", or "Boat Trader".

Come with a picture, details, and contact info.

I found my boat on Craigslist just about 6 weeks ago. A 1999 Searay 180 BR for $6000! I jumped all over that the instant I saw it. For sale right in town. 15 minute drive. He had it posted for 2 hours before I bought it. It was a little dirty from storage, but I cleaned it up and have had it out several times. It's perfect! I was looking all summer for the perfect deal and I found mine on Craigslist!

I think I have just found a 21ft Celebrity (in town)on craigslist,could be the right boat for us.The reinell I was going to look at today sold on sat.I hope to look at the celebrity tomorrow,as the owner is out of town.

A Celebrity is a sleek well made boat! I had one for awhile, and was surprised how well it was made, and it performed beyond my expectations.
