using tachometer for carb adjustment

can u use a regular tach to adjust carbs. i have one but is says for 4..6..8 cylinders. i only have 3.. also if this wont work what kind of tach would..thx

No, it must be calibrated for a 2 cycle engine. Some Yamaha models require a converter to work properly with their tach.

hello<br /> there is one thing yammis are great about.<br /> its carb adjustments<br /> if the motor is all set up and has no mechanical problems all you have to do is set the air/fuel screws to the proper turns out from lightly seated and it will run correctly.<br /> set the idle speed about 750 or so on the flusher and it will work ok<br /> good luck and keep posting
