Minn Kota 30 lb thrust for an intex seahawk, picked up a little battery at Academy for $50. Says its ideal for that, deep cycle. I didn't really notice the unique posts until later.
Feel like this is a dumb question, but what's the best way to hook the thing up? Not sure if I need a battery box, or if there's a clamp of some sort. image.jpgimage.jpg

Re: Utility Battery

nut and bolt and make sure you get a fuse for the positive side.
wire the negative to the battery from the motor and wire the positive with the fuse then fuse to the motor positive.
that battery is tiny. you will need a bigger one.

Re: Utility Battery

Youll need a bigger battery. Dont get on the water without an extra sheer pin and any tools you would need should you sheer one.
