V6 differences

What is the difference between a 4.3 and a 4.3LX? It seems the HP rating is different, and atleast my LX is using a carbureted vortec? I know they went to MPI after that. Why all the different HP ratings. Mine's a 1995 if that matters.

4.3 was a 190 hp? 2 barrell carb. 4.3LX went to a 4 barrel 205 hp. Vortec brought the hp up even more 220 maybe.

Also at some point ( I think the LX ) they added an internal vibration dampener shaft just over the cam shaft in the valley.
