A friend just gave me a Mercury Mark 30A it has chrome or silver sides on the cover. its in rough shape (paint peeling ect). I can't see the vin plate, and wish to know it's serial, and year of manufacter? any Ideas
Mark 30s were built from 1956 to 58, if you remove the top of the cowling(hand starter) the top of the block should be stamped. If you do be carefull as each stud on the housing has shim washer on it
