I recently repowered my 22' fishing boat with the new Volvo 300CR. Ran great for 60 hrs, then fuel pump went out. Next fuel pump lasted 8 hrs, next 3 hrs. Last two failures were to low pressure pump which fails and burns out the 20 amp fuse feeding pumps. I checked fuel tank and supply lines and they are fine. Pumps seem to be getting proper voltage. Pumps are expensive and hard to find, I have a new one coming and don't want to burn it out. Any ideas will be appreciated, I want to go fishing again. Thanks, Martin

Check how much vacuum there is between the tank and pump while at full throttle. Should be less than 2”.

Might want to take a look at the anti-siphon valve on the gas tank. On older boats they can get corrded internally and then the ball sticks and restricts fuel flow.

What was the vacuum at full throttle? Did you see any air bubbles in the clear line when preforming the test.

It's not bad luck or bad fuel pumps --- you have something wrong.
