Volvo Penta AQ170

Ok, finally got the old penta motor out of my 76 reinell. Its sitting on the hoist in the garage and I'm curious to know if anyone has any idea what this thing weighs. I need to go buy a stand to put this on to rebuild and Im wondering if its possible that this iron monstrosity out weighs my iron block alum head chevy 355. If it does the stand I have won't be sufficient. Any cluess??

Close to 500lbs, but I would sure use a stand with a lot more weight capacity than that. Those stands are rated for a weight they will hold. But start bouncing it around while adding parts, and you may find it weighs a lot more

thanks i got a 750lb stand and itll never have more on it that it does now

Ok, who knows where I can find a rebuild kit for this engine, Im not having any luck looking for one here
