Hey guys, I'm back for some more help since you guys did such a great job last time.

Here's a little background on some issues I had, but in short, my impeller went out and my boat ran hot a couple years ago, which required me to replace the thermostat, impeller, and the rubber hoses connecting to water manifold.

My boat ran great all last year and the first couple trips this season, but last time out I had some issues with it lacking power. As I was driving down the river it really seemed to be dragging, but would intermittently get a shot of power and run like it always has. I was able to pull a wakeboarder fine, then dropped her off at the bank and my buddy got behind the boat to wakeboard. The boat wouldn't even plane out at that point with only 3 people in my boat.

I thought maybe water was in the gas so I went and bought a water separator to install. I haven't yet done so, but wound up noticing I had too much oil so I went to drain some out. When I did, I found that I had a decent amount of water in the oil. Where you put the oil in the boat looks like there is white grease in there.

Here's a picture of a half quart of oil I drained out first.

My dad thought it would be the most obvious suspects, bad head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block. We hooked the boat up to water, pulled the spark plugs, and spun the motor over, but no water came out of any of the cylinders.

What other ways are there for water to get in the oil? Could it be related to my having put too much oil in the boat?

Thanks for any help provided.

Ayuh,... Usually from internal Cracks in the block....

Drain the cooling jacket, block it off,+ pressurize it with Air,.. about 15/20psi....
You'll Hear the leaks... then follow the Sound...

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by cooling jacket. I looked in the repair manual and nothing is listed as that. Can you explain that to me in more detail, as well as the process you are talking about?

The water jacket of an engine is the cooling passages in the block.
