Volvo Penta SX drive - air bubbles when changing gear lube

I got some air bubbles into the gear lube when I changed it for winterization
I would say about a good 5 or 6 pumps were about 1/2 air - using one of those quart handpumpers

I did get the full 2.85 quarts into the drive though and the dipstick shows full
Is it best to drain and put back in correctly - or just check the drive fluid level after the first trip when boating next season

With the drive down, just let it set for a while. The air will come out of the oil.

I have Cobra SX drives and the boat is new to me, it's a '96. What type of oil do you use in the drives? I have to drain mine also and replace it. Thank you.
