Might not need any threadlock on your pivot pins.

BTW I've already purchased the "red" threadlock at West Marine. Will hold off using it until we get more answers.
If you do use the red locktite use only a tiny little bit. It'll hold just fine. Had a few that someone soaked the pin real good, all the heat wrench's in the world would not hardly get them out for future service. That stuff is a strong!

Also, if you use Loctite Klean N Prime on both the male and female threads first it will reduce the bond enough that you won’t need heat to get it back apart.
One drop is more than enough. Think of it like silicone, people use to much, it oozes out all over, guess what? It oozes inside the motor also. Same with locktite. The area it has to hold is just a few threads.
