Hi folks.

One of my tiller arms snapped over weekend and I have a major problem finding a replacement. Please see what we can do.

It is a 1970 36' houseboat chriscraft with 2 Volvo I/o aq175a or the a q205 engines small v6.

The cast iron shaft from the steering arm to the outdrive spline snapped.

Also, just as important, I can't seem to get the spleen off. The gease fitting on top has a white thin metal collar around it. I can see where it is bolted to. Boat is still in water.

Thanks a ton in advance
Jim

To replace the arm, you must pull the boat out of the water, remove the upper gear box, and then you have to drop the steering helmet and yoke assembly down out of the broken steering arm.

Outdrive model is the a q250 and they don't list a part number for the steering arm!!! What's that about??
