I had the outdrive completely rebuilt by one of the best companies in the country. Drive was reinstalled by a local marine shop. When first put in the water and started I get a DTC=713 water in outdrive gear oil.

I think the Ocean-X system needs to be reset.

Has anyone had experience with the Ocean-X system? I don't think there is water in the gear oil.

The drive oil sensor must be reset whenever the drive oil is replaced. This procedure must be performed with the boat out of the water.
You didn't post a serial number so I'm not sure if you have a DOQ module or if your ECM has the latest software. But assuming you don't here is the reset procedure.
Ensure the drive is trimmed so that the cavitation plate is horizontal.
Allow the oil to settle for at least 30 minutes.
Remove the rear cover from the drive.
Turn the ignition on but do not start the engine.
Locate the plastic protector on the drive oil sensor and slide it back to expose the sensor wiring connector .
Release the locking tab on the connector and disconnect it from the sensor.
Wait at least 5 seconds, then plug the connector back into the sensor. The engine alarm will sound three beeps to acknowledge the sensor has been reset. Note: EVC equipped engines will not beep after reset.

Thanks that is just the kind of info I needed. I did read some info on reset of the Ocean-X module but thought that was done by pulling a cable at the Ocean-X module and not at the drive gear oil sensor.

The serial number from the plate on the outdrive is A128534. The product number is 3869466.
The are the best I can do reading a hard to read plate.

The original 2011 engine was replaced in 2012 under warranty I believe. With the same HP engine but a slightly different model. Probably the model available in 2012.
Does the info I provided indicate the reset procedure you suggested is the correct one?

How do I know I if I have a DOQ module or if the ECM has the latest software. Can a Diacom tell me that info?

Your operators manual covers the reset. It's basically what I posted but has a nice picture.

Visual inspection for the modual, Yes Diacom will tell you the software package installed to the ECM. But only Volvo tech support or Volvo diagnostic tool --- Vodia --- can tell if it the lastest.

I went to my boat today to reset the Ocean-X. I found the Diacom has an option to reset the Ocean-X and used it. No active code after I reset the Ocean-X.
