VRO alarm disconnect

Which wire needs to be disconnected for the overheat alarm after disconnecting/disabling VRO system on a 1986 Johnson 40HP VRO outboard? Where can I find info on the alarm buzzer indicators(in other words, which alarm means what.) Thanks in advance for your help.

A beep every 20 secs or so is low oil. A rapid beep is no oil. a solid tone is overheat. The tan wire controls the overheat alam. How many wires are coming from your VRO? What issue are you experiencing? It's kind of difficult to figure what is going on from your post.
