Are all VRO Pumps the same? I had an 86 Evinrude 150 HP but i got a new powerhead and its a 79 200 HP bored .030 over. I was wondering if all VRO Pumps pump the same amount  or will i need to buy a larger one for my engine. Another thing, would it just be easier to mix the gas in the tank and eliminate the pump all together? I am very unsure about this. Thanks a lot

Re: VRO PUMPS

They are oil pumps now as they no longer vary the ratio. The amount of oil is regulated by how much fuel goes through the pump. As long as your 150 pump is doing it's job, it will work fine on the 200. If you are still using the old VRO version, you might consider an upgrade at this time.

Don't forget to plug the second pulse fitting in the crankcase that you wont be using.

Good luck!
