VRO question

I have a 1997 50hp VRO with System Check. When I turn the key on I hear a beep followed by the lights on the tach turning on and off. Is this beep supposed to be the warning horn?

That should be the warning horn test, at least older models are thatta way. just a thought

The beep is the "self test", letting you know that the horn and the horn electronics are operational.
