 Ok so I am rebuilding this 1985 Erude 115 vro v4. I bought it cheep and now that summer is here i want to go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Also im having a high rev problem at idle, but thats a different thread titled fuel.

SO the vro needs to be replaced as a unit..... i dont like that. who has ventured into their $250 vro pump for a peak:cool: are those diaphrams available, whats the story. just wanted to hear what you gus think. oh ya its the old black kind.

Keep em flying

Re: VRO Rebuild

A rebuild kit use to contain an air motor diaphragm as well as a fuel piston as part of the kit.It did not contain any parts for rebuilding the oil portion of the vro.I'm not even sure that the complete rebuild kits are even available any longer. On another note, the vro alarms for that vintage engine which used the three wire alarm circuit were and are notoriously unreliable.Another option is to either upgrade to a new four wire vro and alarm module or simply disable the oil half of the one you have and mix 50:1.Of course if the one you have now has a failed air motor diaphragm ,it will have to be repaired first.Otherwise it will work just fine as a 50:1 conventional pumper.
