could someone please tell me how I can find the year of my outboard VRO V4 90 HP <br /><br />mode/serial E90IVLCTE10270091 This was taken from <br />a freeze plug.<br /><br /> <br /><br />could you also suggest what spark plugs to use<br /><br />thanks<br />

Looks like it is a 1983. Not sure what Champions to use.

There should be a post in the "Engine FAQ" forum that will give you the proper plug choice, and another post that will explain the identification codes used by OMC...just a Thought

Champion QL77JC4 or QL82C(Hotter Plug) if you do alot of trolling. Gap at .030 unless trolling alot, then gap at .040. Personally, I've had better luck all around gapping at .040. Better idle and no difference otherwise.

mmcpeck, you are right.(Brain freeze) Ficht did not come out until 95'. Huuumm!<br /><br />Unless he misread a letter. Double check the numbers northerncockney! Could be a "T".<br /><br />Got them from modelguide:<br /><br /> web page
