Amen Crab Bait, You will never see me in a Mall Wart store. I'd pay double anywhere else or go without. When there's nothing left but Mal Warts I guess I'll starve...

Pointer94, Sounds like every trip I ever had to Waldos World. I agree on Kmarts 100%, a much better experiance. I mean you nailed it even down to the exit. How come 3 ways in but only 1 way out? Is that so you will shop longer dredding the thought of leaving the parking lot.

I will say this, I never thought I'd miss Elevator Music, but I'd rather Elevator, or Silence, than to walk through Walmart, and constantly hear that Rap Crap "Noise" they call Music.

Re: Wallyworld, I have had enough

i visit walmart often, i live about 1mile from the 3rd largest walmart in the world (blfd, west virginia) anyway, i never look forward to going there, the parking lot is always full, people always drive down the wrong way in the parking lot, then when you get to the door of the store you have people going in the out door & out the in door, then when you get in the store they fill the isles with junk so when so idiot stops to yak at their frend it clogs the traffic, then you get to the checkout, they have 3000 people in the store and 70 cash registers but only 15 of them open, then you try to make it out the door & there are people standing in front of it waiting for people to pick them up at the door, when you finally make it out the door you find a car parked across both doors loading groceries into the trunk. I HATE THE WALMART EXPERIENCE!! but i still keep comming back.

Re: Wallyworld, I have had enough

We used to have a K-mart here, it was a pretty nice one, not all run down like some of the big city Kmarts. They had essentially the same stuff at the time, and was knowhere near as crowded. Wal-mart upped the anty by expanding into a Super Wal-mart with lube center, grocery store, all of that. It is overkill for as small of a population as we have, and it killed the K-mart (Wal-mart built right across the street-Kmart never stood a chance). Now the K-mart building stands empty, something like a hundred people lost jobs, and the Wal-mart juggernaut just grows and grows, consuming everything in its path like a festering cancer. Yeah, I use it, it has the cheapest gas and food as well as other stuff, and it kind of depresses me. If I made more money I wouldn't use the place. I still use my local business too though, there are some things you cannot get at Wal-mart. I also do a lot of online shopping.

Hello.<br />Here I find myself in a chatroom with many a fiercely independent member. What on earth are you doing in walmart anyways? This is not the place where proud independent men buy their needs. This is where the herd goes.<br />Stand up for everything your town stands for and support your local small business people before walmart chews them all up ,spits them out and then doubles its prices!!!<br />One truly concerned Rolmops.

Yep...<br /><br />And toss in the soon to come RFID tags on everything Walmart sells.<br /><br />They will have to change their motto to:<br /><br />"Always watching you.... Always..."<br /><br />H.

Re: Wallyworld, I have had enough

I guess my family and I go to Wal-Mart because were lazy. Of course we have one of them "Super Wal-Marts" close to use, and they do have everything. One trip to Wal-Mart, or multiple trips to multiple stores. I would rather fight one crowd one time, IMO. <br /><br />Its all about the timing though, if you go at the right time, its not so bad. Fridays, after work.........Forget it!

If its close buy, going Sunday Morning, or after 9-10 PM is the only way I go anymore! I still go because they have the best sporting goods section anywhere around! They have a Gas station here and there gas is always the cheapest around and seems to be decent quality!

Two guys are moving about in a WAL-MART when their carts collide. <br />One says to the other<br />Excuse me but I'm looking for my wife<br />What a coincidence, so am I, and I'm getting a little desperate.<br />Well, maybe I can help you.<br />What does your wife look like?<br />She's tall, with dark hair, long legs, firm boobs, and a tight a--.<br />What's your wife look like??<br />Never mind, let's look for yours.

Re: Wallyworld, I have had enough

Then think of this Crab Bait...<br /><br />RFID won't stop at Walmart doors. You think the government will stay out of this?<br /><br />RFID will be used everywhere and will be able to track everything on your person each time you come close to the pick-up antenna, right down to what size underwear you have on.<br /><br />Go here for more information on RFID... and ask yourself if you are really for it:<br /><br /> Spychips.com <br /><br />I can understand the inventory and theft applications, but I highly doubt it will stop at that.<br /><br />Let's just say I have 'inside' information on how it's done. I can't say any more than that... I like my job thanks... :D <br /><br />H.

Originally posted by gaugeguy:<br />And you forgot to mention the Wallyworld employees, (if anyone works there or has a friend that works there, sorry) honestly, they are the dumbest people I have ever met. Half of them can't speak a lick of english and they are so friggen rude. The ones that can speak english are too busy talking about how hot Susie in homegoods is
That is true. I applied and got a job at Wallyworld (of which I quit after orientation) and noticed that I had the highest level of education, a bach degree in Finance. Others listed their highest level of education as 9, 7 and one 6. The store will never improve if people like that are employed there.<br /><br />In our town the super Wallyworld came in and chewed up 2 kmart's, one a brand new super k mart.
