I have a 1963 Seaking 40 hp,Whats is the easiest way to put the recoil spring back on on my motor having hell with it.Please help any info would be great.

If your just trying to assemble it you'll need a c clamp to hold the pulley after you wind up the spring.wind it up, clamp it and put in the rope.Rope is 7/32
diameter and 75 3/4 inches long.trial an error to get the right number of turns.Be sure you wind it the right way.
