Wanted: Electric starter for Evinrude 1960 18hp

I have a 1960 Evinrude 18hp model # 15032. I read that the electric starting kit was an option on it back then and my flywheel does have the teeth on it. Anyone know where I might find a used one? And what all is required, just a motor and mounting bracket? Anything else? thx

You will also need a start button, harness, solenoid, battery cables and battery.

The kit is still available new from the dealer, 171845 retails about 400USD. Has starter, solenoid, starter & solenoid mounting brackets, wiring harness, start switch.

Those electric start kits are much sought-after as used parts. As Paul says, about 400 dollars for a new one. Be prepared for sticker shock.
