(Wards SeaKing 6) Question??????

I have a couple questions on a motor that was given to me, the model # VWB27906A and the serial is 76X13082. What year is this motor? and possibly who made it? Also, I stuck it in a bucket of water and cranked it, and got it to run, but I didn't notice any water coming out of the upper hole, just a little smoke so I shut it down. Can any one tackle these?

Well you need to look at the water pump impeller ..thats mounted just above the anti ventilation plate inside the leg ..the lower unit will unbolt and drop down for access but you will have to disconnect the gear change as well. Some one will be along to explain the numbering system soon ..good luck and welcome to the forum

About a 1968.Made by Chrysler.
Fairly easy to change the impeller.

apparently it is nearly impossible to find a prop for this outboard..... Need a shearpin, propeller and nut on a smooth shaft

Check your post over in props.I found a 7 1/2" X 6 prop.
