Warning Beep When No Apparent Cause

I have not had my boat out in about a month or so. I have a Four Winns 224 with a Volvo 5.0. Got it out yesterday and, when pulling away from the ramp, a warning beep started. Usually that means that I am too shallow, but I was in 22 feet of water. All gauges were normal. I turned the engine off and back on again, and it was fine for about 5 minutes. The beeping then started again as I was throttled down and pulling into the cove I was going to. After letting the engine sit for 15 minutes, I started it again and drove it for about 15 minutes without any further problems. The Four Winns manual says to consult the engine manual regarding warning signals like this, but I don't have the engine manual with me. Any thoughts on what might be the issue?

I am going thru the same thing currently w 4.3 Volvo
I replaced my impeller within the water pump which was an easy fix

but when i tried to go out yesterday the alarm chirped for no apparent reason

Re: Warning Beep When No Apparent Cause

I had an intermittent alarm last year at the end of the boating season. Checked oil level, pea stream, etc, all was good.

This year with new oil and filter no alarms. Makes me think the oil filter was dirty????

Also my sensor wires are close to the ignition coil, trigger wires etc. Might look at wiring and see if bad spark plug wires causing spikes in sensors.
